Exchange 2003 and 2007 Hosting * ICTG, LLC Migration for Exchange 2003 to 2007

Introduction

In order to migrate to Exchange 2007, some tasks need to be completed as well as time given to migrate each individual mailbox to the new server. The Exchange 2003 server is called M5.ICTG.US and the Exchange 2007 server is called M7.ictgllc.com. Both reside on a 100mbs connection to the internet thus allowing for faster migrations to occur.

The time involved to migrate a user depends upon the mailbox sizes and internet speed of your business.

A Good example of time is 1gig mailbox takes roughly 2 hours to export and 2 hours to import = 4 hours. Depending upon your businesses environment, you can export and import up to 5 users at a time, so setting aside a weekend for this is best.

Currently ICTG, LLC is allowing your business to migrate with no costs (other than labor to assist in migration) in hosting fee changes to Exchange 2007. There is a mailbox quota system put into place for each user as well as specific directions on how to archive and retain mail that will be beyond the initial supported 250megs.
